Five great contemporary American artists form the centerpiece of our current
catalogue of forthcoming spring titles: the late Cy
Twombly, Cindy Sherman,
Ellsworth Kelly,
Louise Lawler, and the
photographer
Judith Joy Ross.
Two great and indispensable books are dedicated to
Cy Twombly: the
second volume of his
catalogue of drawings covers the years 1956 to 1960, and a
fourth volume of his
surprising photography, the great and glowing passion of the artist’s later years.
As for Cindy Sherman, whose work will be celebrated in New York with a
retrospective at the MoMA
in February, we offer two individual books, each dealing with one of her most famous series of photographs: her
Clowns and her
History Portraits.
The first single volume of his
Plant Drawings
accompanies Ellsworth Kelly’s two upcoming exhibitions in Los Angeles and at the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
Laurenz Berges, Anton Corbijn, and
Helmut Newton represent the European art world
with new titles and a number of reprints.
Louise Lawler combines
both worlds with her tribute to Gerhard Richter and his paintings on the occasion of Richter’s 80th birthday on February
9, 2012.
